According to a report in Android Central, Adobe is starting to block downloads of the Flash Player app in the Google Play Store. Android owners who already have the plugin installed will continue to receive security fixes, but owners who don’t have it installed are out of luck. If you absolutely must have Flash, then you can always head to xda-developers and find the version that’s compatible with your device and version of Android.
This change by Adobe is part of a larger plan to phase out its mobile Flash player and focus on its desktop version. Now that Flash is on the outs, mobile device owners can look forward to HTML 5 formatted content.
