Nordstrom wants to take part in the growing couch commerce hype, hence it launched a new iPad app to give customers what they want – convenience to shop all of the products they would otherwise buy at a local Nordstrom store (or online) from their beloved tablet.
Available as a free download, the application packs several handy features like the Dressing Room, which provides customers with an interactive way to create and save multiple looks by double-tapping or dragging items to the canvas. Users can resize images, add or delete items, and view product details to create up to 75 unique looks.
Then there’s customizable homepage that makes sure your Nordstrom app looks different that anyone else’s. The idea is to enable users to place all of the items they want to buy on a single screen and quickly access them later on.
Finally, sharing capabilities also come built-in so you can tell the world what you just bought or ask for advice – whether your friends on Facebook and Twitter dig the item you like…
And that’s just a start with Nordstrom saying that additional features and functionality will be added with subsequent updates to the app.
