EE announces initial LTE devices, includes brief Lumia 920 exclusivity period

Speaking of EE’s new 4G LTE network, the company has announced the devices it’ll carry with LTE support in coming months. Most notably, EE has announced they have secured a brief exclusivity period for the flagship Lumia 920 Windows Phone 8 device, though no terms of the exclusivity period were given. EE will also carry the more modest Windows Phone 8-based Lumia 820 when the device launches in November.

On the Android front, EE will stock the Samsung Galaxy S III in Titanium Gray, the HTC One XL, and the Huawei Ascend P1, making for quite the all-star cast on what will quickly become the UK’s premier network. The company will also offer a Huawei MiFi device and Mobile Broadband stick, should you want to connect an existing device or laptop to LTE.

At EE’s announcement event this morning, the company had an Apple-esque “One More Thing” moment, suggesting that the company will be announcing additional LTE devices shortly. This very likely means that EE will be carrying the LTE-enabled iPhone that Apple will unveil tomorrow. EE customers will have no shortage of choices when it comes to devices in coming months, and LTE is expected across much of the country by the end of the year.
