Usurv ran a quick poll to find out how users feel about the new iPhone 5. Results from surveying 1,000 UK adults suggest that 44% of existing iPhone users want the Apple iPhone 5, while 20% of all smartphone users want to upgrade to the new iPhone without needing any further information about it. However, only 5% of Samsung Galaxy owners want Apple’s handset.

According to the research, the most popular feature on the iPhone 5 is likely to be its larger screen, highlighted as the most appealing by 19% of respondents. Higher speed Internet access (17%) is the second most appealing feature, followed by better camera with panorama mode (11%), improved performance when running applications (9%) and thinner design (5%). But 39% said none of the new features appeal to them, and over a quarter (27%) thought that the iPhone 5 had been over-hyped without anything exciting or innovative.

We like the new iPhone and even though we agree that it has been over-hyped, we’ve no doubts Apple will make it a smashing success…
