Good news for owners of the Asus Transformer Pad Prime (TF201) or Transformer Pad Infinity (TF700)  tablets. Asus Technical Marketing Manager, Gary Key, for whatever reason decided to use the XDA forums to announce that these two tablets will receive the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean treatment.

Both of them will receive an over-the-air update within the next 72 hours to download and install the update. Jelly Bean is the latest version of Google’s Android operating system and it focuses on small improvements across the board as well as speeding the OS up. Apps like the browser, calendar, and People utilize the better performance especially for graphics to help reduce some lag found in Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. There’s also new features like offline voice typing, face unlock, and notifications that pull content and functions from the app right into the panel.

If you have the Prime of Infinity, charge it up and get ready for the imminent OTA software update.
