Tesco Mobile is looking to explore the vast reach its parent company has to bring more users to the smartphone world. Their latest offering is Huawei Ascend Y201, a low-end Android device which is selling for just 70 GBP (about $113). That money gets you a single-core processor clocked at 800MHz, 256MB of RAM, 3.2- or 3.5-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen, some camera (we don’t have the megapixel count), Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and a memory card slot. We would argue to add 30 GBP more to get the Huawei Ascend G300, but if you’re really on a budget, even the Y201 will work better than most feature phones. It’s your call… just don’t say we haven’t suggested grabbing something better afterwards. 😉
You can check out the Huawei Ascend Y201 from this page at Tesco Mobile’s website.
