Is this the LG-made Nexus phone?

We’ve already heard rumors that LG could make the next Nexus phone, and now we have another proof this could be the case. What you can see from the image above, and few additional photos below, is apparently the LG E960 aka Mako. As we know, Google likes to name its reference Android phones after fish, so this makes perfect sense. Moreover, it is said that this particular unit runs the still unreleased Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean), further justifying the claim.

But are we 100% sure this is the next Nexus? Nope – we’re not; at the end, this could be an Optimus G variant targeted at specific markets. Still since the phone doesn’t have any dedicated touch keys, it could easily be Nexus (rather than Optimus). We’ll make sure to follow up on this story the second we get anything new.
