Back in April, we told you that Samsung registered new Galaxy names. Among them was Galaxy Premier which at one point was rumored to be the Galaxy Nexus successor. The reason was obvious – the Nexus phone was marked as the GT-i9250, while Galaxy Premier is GT-i9260. And while we can see the logic behind this conclusion, it seems like the relation has more to do with specs rather than branding.
That said, the forthcoming Galaxy Premier will sport the same 4.65-inch Super AMOLED 720p HD screen and 1.5GHz dual-core processor, most likely made by Samsung. In addition, we’re hearing the device will also pack an 8-megapixel camera, while Sammy’s own TouchWiz UX will run on top of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. As you can see from the image above, the Korean company will use its Galaxy S III-like design for the phone. And no, we’ve no idea when it will be officially launched though it’s fair to guess that will happen sooner rather than later.
