US Cellular and its partner, King Street Wireless, are expanding the LTE coverage to over 30 new markets on Monday, November 5th. The first states to get the “power of 4G” are cities in Iowa, Wisconsin, North Carolina and Oklahoma. In addition, some of US Cellular’s leading markets will get the same treatment as well, including select areas of Illinois, Maryland, Missouri, New Hampshire, Vermont, Virginia and West Virginia.
And that’s just a start with next wave following shortly in Rockford, Illinois; Medford, Oregon; Yakima, Washington; and Knoxville, Tennessee.
Commenting on the news, the carrier’s senior VP of marketing and CMO David Kimbell said: “With more than half of our customers having access to 4G LTE speeds by the start of the holiday season, we are helping customers simplify and organize their lives more quickly and easier than ever. The 4G LTE network builds upon our award-winning customer satisfaction and is the only one that comes with a valuable rewards program and other unique benefits like Overage Protection and Battery Swap.”
