Google Nexus 4 and Nexus 10 now officially available in Play Store [UPDATE]

The much-anticipated Google Nexus 4 and Nexus 10 are officially available to purchase through the search giant’s own Play Store. If you’ve been looking to grab one of these devices, we suggest you do so now, as we’re not sure just how many of the devices Google decided to stock up on.

The Nexus 4 is by far the best device to date in terms of specs since the Nexus One, and it’s sure to be one of the most popular handsets in the hardcore Android community. The combination of raw power and sleek style make it a force to be reckoned with. LTE be damned.

Oh yeah, and the Nexus 4’s price is also unbeatable through the Google Play Store. Starting at $299 for the 8GB version of the handset, the Nexus 4 is only $100 more than the on-contract price you’ll pay up at T-Mobile. If you don’t mind signing up for a contract on T-Mobile for the Nexus 4, by all means. It’ll be worth it, if you can wait an extra day for it. If you’re not looking to be on a two-year contract, then you should consider paying the extra $49 for the 16GB version of the Nexus 4.

The Nexus 4 is union of the LG Optimus G and Google’s design, all in one sexy package that includes the latest version of the Android OS, Jelly Bean 4.2.

Also available is the Google Nexus 10, a powerful Android tablet made in partnership with Samsung. Outside of the already awesome price point of $399, the Nexus 10 has the highest resolution display on an Android tablet we’ve ever come across at 2560 x 1600. This kind of resolution on a 10 inch tablet brings the PPI (pixels per inch) to 300.24, besting the iPad’s 263.92 PPI by 36.32 pixels, making its “Retina Display” sound even more like the marketing term that it is. While the PPI difference between the two tablets is negligible, we’ve already seen what the Nexus 10 looks like next to a printed magazine, and now that ultra crisp display can be yours without breaking the bank.

You can also expect the Nexus 10 to rock Samsung’s own Exynos 5 dual-core ARM Cortex-A15 processor and the Mali-T604 graphics processor, proving that this tablet is not messing around. It’s oozing with power

Whichever device you’re looking at, it’s now available and waiting for you.

[UPDATE] And just like that, less than half an hour after made officially available, the 16GB Nexus 4 has been sold out. You can still grab the 8GB Nexus 4, for now, and both versions of the Nexus 10 are still available at the moment.
