Barnes & Noble’s Nook HD and HD+ are now available in the UK, after a month on pre-order. The two devices are competitively priced with the smaller, 7-inch model selling for 159 GBP which also happen to be the price of the Nexus 7. The better model with bigger, Full HD screen could be yours for 229 GBP, again making it a great deal.
As for other (aside from the screen size) differences between two Nooks, the HD has a dual-core CPU clocked at 1.3GHz, while processor found inside the HD+ sings at 1.5GHz. All said, we think B&N has good tablets but then again I’m not sure they’ll stand much chance against Apple’s iPad and iPad mini, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10, and Amazon’s Kindle Fire tablets. I could be wrong, you never know…
