Verizon Galaxy Note 2 Recieves Minor Update

A mysterious update for the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has been released, and what’s inside of it has still not been revealed. If the small size of the update is any indicator, there probably won’t be  anything huge here. One fix that will probably be included in this update is for the  Exynos CPU exploit, given that Samsung Galaxy Note 2 devices on other carriers have already received similar updates. The update carries the build number VRALL4, which is the same number that Galaxy Note 2 owners on T-Mobile received last week.

Much like the T-Mobile update, the upcoming bug-squasher for Verizon’s Galaxy Note 2 focuses on a root exploit with Samsung’s Exynos chipset. Current reports reveal that the update does not allow rooting through traditional methods, so fans of rooting may want to skip this update. There’s no doubt that there will be a new way to root this device after Verizon’s update, but we may have to wait awhile. So choose carefully, my fellow nerds. The new update will no doubt provide improved security features, but will make the Verizon Galaxy Note 2 harder to hack.

While this is a minor update, if you notice any interesting tweaks to your Galaxy Note 2, be sure to sound off in the comments!
