Sony Xperia S Jelly Bean update coming in April?

It looks like Sony is getting back to the game and is now more committed than ever to serve its mobile customers. To be honest, the Japanese company doesn’t have the best track record in releasing timely firmware updates, but that could change soon. You see, at one point we thought they’ve forgot about the Xperia S users, but we were wrong. That device is perfectly capable of running Jelly Bean so why not giving the latest bells and whistles?

We’re hearing that the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean firmware update will be released in April (or before), bringing along a new kernel version 3.4 (compared to the current 3.08 kernel). Moreover, many new features will be introduced in this release, including Power management, Find My Xperia and Screen mirroring. The new lock screen will also get an update, offering few new options when the phone is in the standby mode. Plus, let’s not forget the standard Jelly Bean goodies like improved notifications, Google Now and Project Butter…
