Lookout security app adds new Lock Cam feature that photographs phone thiefs

Lookout is known for its Android security app that lets you remotely track and lock your phone when it has been lost or stolen. The latest version includes a new Lock Cam feature that launches the front-facing camera and snaps a photograph when someone tries unsuccessfully to unlock your phone.

When a user enters a lock screen password incorrectly three times in a row, the software will send a photograph and location coordinates to the email that is setup in the Lookout software. Lock Cam will work with phones that include a front-facing camera, Android 2.3+ and the Android lock screen enabled.

You can view a demo of Lock Cam in the YouTube video below and test it out by downloading the latest version of Lookout from the Google Play Store.
