Infobar is back in Japan; This time it’s made by HTC with Android running the show

It’s been a while since we talked about KDDI’s Infobar phones. The last model we’ve seen was running Android and featuring UI that made it look like it’s a Windows Phone device. The Infobar A02 has a similar, though updated, user interface and the Naoto Fukasawa’s recognizable design that screams sexiness… presuming you liked the series in the first place.

HTC made the new Infobar device, which comes with some rock solid specs that include a quad-core processor, 4.7-inch 720p HD screen, LTE, CDMA+GSM (to make it a global phone), 16GB of built-in storage, 8-megapixel rear camera, 2.1-megapixel front-facing one, though just 1GB of RAM. In addition, there’s also NFC support to sing along popular Osaifu-Keitai mobile wallet service, 1seg TV tuner, while Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is running the show.

Of course, this is a Japan-only device, available exclusively through KDDI, which will start selling it in mid-February. What follows are two short clips, demoing the phone and its unique interface. Enjoy!
