US Cellular today announced several new markets that the large regional carrier plans to bring its 4G LTE network to. The following new towns and cities include:
- Lincoln, Neb.
- Omaha, Neb.
- Manhattan, Kan.
- Eureka, Calif.
- Ukiah, Calif.
This is just the beginning for US Cellular as they plan to extend 4G LTE service by the end of 2013, making coverage available in more than 3,800 cities and towns.
Discussing the strides the company has made in delivering 4G LTE speeds to customer’s handsets, Michael S. Irizarry, executive vice president and chief technology officer at U.S. Cellular had this to say:
“We’re continuously improving our customer experience, so we’re excited to offer 4G LTE speeds to nearly all of our customers by the end of 2013.” He continued saying “This 4G LTE network expansion, along with our growing line-up of 4G LTE devices, will make customers’ lives simpler and easier with quick access to important information and entertainment on their devices.”
Regardless, getting high speed 4G service to more users is a win not just for the large regional carrier but customers abroad.
