Juniper Research is looking at the 4G LTE revenues in its latest report. According to them, the figure will surpass $340 billion by 2017 globally, up from just over $75 billion this year. Moreover, four years from now, LTE revenues will represent approximately 31% of total service revenues from all mobile services of all generations (2G/3G/4G), reflecting the continued success of LTE in serving higher value subscribers.

The research company says that initially LTE was dominated by the enterprise segment, with consumer subscribers beginning to sign up for services in volume this year only to overtake the enterprise subscriber numbers in 2015. However, the consumer segment will only account for under half of total revenues.

Juniper also believes that the vast majority of LTE revenues (almost 70%) will be generated by North American and Far Eastern & China markets… Additional information about the report titled “4G LTE ~ Fast & Furious” is available from here.
