BlackBerry CEO: Q10 sales reaching "several tens of million of units"

We’ve already told you that BlackBerry Q10 is in high demand in the UK, and now we have the Canadian company’s CEO sharing another tidbit of the good news with its shareholders.

According to this Bloomberg report, Thorsten Heins (BlackBerry CEO) stated that “We have very, very good first signs already after the launch in the U.K. This is going into the installed base of more than 70 million BlackBerry users so we have quite some expectations. We expect several tens of million of units.”

That, of course, is still far from the market leaders like Samsung and Apple, but it’s a step in the right direction. When I look at where BlackBerry was a year ago, I’m pretty impressed with what they managed to accomplish. Sure enough, there’s still a long road ahead but something tells me BlackBerry does have a chance to get its share of the market. We’ll keep following the Canadian company and get back to you as soon as we have something new to add. Stay tuned in the meantime…
