WordPress Mobile EditionAlex (the) King has released a new version of WordPress Mobile Edition plugin, allowing blog editors (myself included) to edit posts while on the go. Actually, that’s while in the queue or while commuting in the public transportation as far as I’m concerned. 😉

Anyway, among the changes from the 2.x releases we find:

  • New (Carrington-based) theme with improved display for advanced mobile browsers.
  • Advanced mobile browsers (iPhone, Android, etc.) are now shown the mobile theme by default.
  • Special CSS for touch-enabled devices like the iPhone, iPod Touch, Android, BlackBerry Storm, etc. that make links and buttons finger-sized.
  • Admin page to enable adding/editing the list of detected mobile and touch browsers.
  • Compatible with the latest version of WP SuperCache.

Before you install the plugin, I must warn you this is a beta release. According to the King himself, they’ve only did internal testing, so make sure you use it carefully and send them all complaints you may have. Download and more information are available on AlexKing’s WordPress Plugins page.
