Last week we posted Steve Jobs’ words on 3rd party apps for the upcoming iPhone. Apparently, Apple may introduce the first iPhone SDK at WWDC. According to NYTimes’ John Markoff “Apple intends to announce that it will make it possible for developers of small programs written for the Macintosh to easily convert them to run on the iPhone.”
Brian Lam of Gizmodo believes that such SDK will most likely involve conversion of the existing Mac OS Widgets to the iPhone. Considering the number of Widgets available already, this kind of tool could produce thousands of iPhone mobile apps in a very short period of time. Sounds promising, if you ask me. 🙂
