AT&T announced over the weekend that it is revising its upgrade policy and extending the period from 20 months to a full 24 months. Similar to Verizon Wireless which also recently extended its upgrades to 24 months,  AT&T says this change now “aligns device upgrade eligibility with our standard two-year wireless agreement.”

These new terms apply to two-year customer agreements that end on March 2014 or later. You can check your upgrade eligibility by  logging into your online account or by dialing *NEW# (*639#) from your wireless device to receive a text message with your upgrade eligibility date.
