AT&T is continuing its country-wide LTE roll outs at a pretty rapid pace, with five new markets launching today.
The new markets include:
- Tri-Cities, Washington
- Brownsville, Texas
- Gallup, New Mexico
- Tuscaloosa, Alabama
- Florence, Alabama
AT&T’s LTE network is by far the fastest in the country, and customers who have been relying only on its HSPA network are in for quite a treat.
In early May, AT&T had reached 200 LTE markets in the US and announced an additional 77 markets to go live by the end of this Summer. While those numbers are indeed impressive, they pale in comparison to Verizon’s LTE markets. As of May 16th, Verizon had 497 LTE markets live in the US.
