Canadians fiending to get in on Samsung’s touchscreen lineup will be happy to hear that Bell is gearing up to launch the Samsung Omnia in April. Following a successful run in the US as Verizon Wireless’s Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional-powered smartphone, it seems Samsung is bringing the Omnia to Canada. Word on the street has the Samsung Omnia bringing its 3.2-inch resistive touchscreen display, GPS, WiFi and 5-megapixel camera to the Great White North between April 9th and April 12th.
We’re not expecting to see much difference between the Bell Samsung Omnia and the Verizon Samsung Omnia – which means the Bell Omnia will include all the TouchWiz UI, 3G data and Divx/Xvid video playback that you can handle.
Pricing isn’t yet known, but we would be surprised if the Bell Samsung Omnia launched for more than a couple benjis.
