HTC is updating the HTC Butterfly with Android 4.2.2 and Sense 5, according to Engadget Chinese. HTC has officially unleashed the updates to its Taiwanese units today. There’s still no official word when and if the update will be rolling out in other parts of the world, but we will more than likely see it in the U.S. soon.

Although HTC had previously stated that the Sense 5 update for devices other than the HTC One may not include certain features such as BlinkFeed, the update does indeed bring the content aggravating feature to the HTC Butterfly. The update is rolling out in two different packages, one that preps the system for the update and one that completes the update.

HTC Butterfly owners, keep your eyes peeled over the coming month for this update, we’ll keep you posted.
