If you’re looking for a remote camera shutter for your smartphone, you may want to check out this project currently raising funds at Kickstarter. Called Muku Shuttr, it’s a small device with a button and keychain hole that will work with all iOS-based devices as well as select Android smartphones and tablets, including the Samsung Galaxy S4, Galaxy S III, Galaxy Note II, Galaxy Note 8.0, Galaxy Note 10.1; as well as Nexus 4, HTC One, One X+; and the Sony Xperia S and Xperia Z. For some reason other Android phones are not supported which is kinda strange to say the least — cause if Nexus 4 can be used with this device so should every other AOSP phone out there.

Anyway, in order to get your unit, you’ll have to pledge at least $29 and that money gets you the Muku Shuttr and a suction cup kickstand. The first shipments will commence at some point in October, in case you wonder.

The project has managed to hit its $10,000 goal in under a week and there’s still some 3 weeks to go. Check it out from this page at Kickstarter…
