AT&T goes after Verizon’s “nation’s most reliable network” crown

AT&T and Verizon are known for their edgy advertisements that take a dig at their competitor’s network. Verizon’s “There’s a map for that” ads and AT&T’s Luke Wilson’s ads are a classic example of this not-so-friendly rivalry. The latest round in this back-and-forth banter is from AT&T, which just released a new printed advertisement, spotted by CNET,  that claims the carrier now has the “most reliable” 4G LTE network.

For years, Verizon has claimed it has the nation’s most reliable 3G network. As the carrier has rolled out its 4G LTE network, its slogan has changed to encompass its 4G focus. Its latest iteration now claims Verizon has “the nation’s largest 4G LTE network and most reliable 3G network.” AT&T is eyeing this “most reliable” claim and hijacking it for its own 4G LTE marketing push. It has a right to do so as recent studies have shown that AT&T’s flavor of LTE is faster and more reliable than its competitors.
