People do strange things when they sleep — some talk, some walk and apparently some even text. According to a report by CBS, sleep texting is on the rise and it’s not a healthy behavior for those who are unknowingly doing it. Not only does it interrupt REM sleep, sleep texting potentially embarrassing. While some sleep texters tap out gibberish, others relay the contents of their dream in full, coherent sentences. It’s easy to imagine how a pleasant dream could easily turn into a real-life nightmare.
Sleep texters are a varied bunch, but they all have one thing in common — they store their phone near their bed at night. Some even sleep with it right next to them on the pillow. The easiest way to prevent this unwanted nighttime behavior is to keep that phone out of your bedroom and store it on your desk where it belongs.
