Samsung is expected to announce the rumored Galaxy Gear smart watch at its Unpacked press event that’ll be held September 4th. Speaking to The Korea Times, Lee Young-hee, the Vice President of Mobile for Samsung, confirmed the date and some details about the wearable device.
“We will be introducing a new wearable concept device called Galaxy Gear at our own event in Berlin on Sept. 4,” said Lee. “We are confident that the Gear will add meaningful momentum to the mobile industry.”
Though Lee did not divulge any details about the hardware specs, he did add that it won’t have a flexible display. Lee also spoke about the Galaxy Note 3 and confirmed it also will be announced at next week’s event.
