The console wars are heating up again and the two main contenders, Microsoft and Sony, are locking down the launch details for the Xbox One and Playstation 4. With all the news and rumors coming in about these 2 new systems, it’s about time for a brief recap of what we know about the launch and confirmed launch titles for each system.
Sony’s Playstation 4 will be releasing in 32 countries by the Holiday season. It will release in North America on November 15th, and Europe on November 29th. The price will be US$399, 399 Euros, and 349 British Pounds. The PS4 will have 33 titles available within its launch window. The titles are a mix of downloadable PSN titles and more AAA titles available on disc and for download (see the whole list below).
Microsoft’s Xbox One will cost $499.99 in the US, 429.99 pounds in the UK, and 499.99 Euros in Europe. The console does not have an official release date as of yet. A recent leak surfaced that points to the potential for a November 8th release in North America, but it hasn’t been confirmed. The Xbox One will be releasing in 13 countries, after Microsoft announced its release will be delayed in 8 others. Microsoft has confirmed 23 titles available on disc and to download on the day of the Xbox One’s release (see the full list below).
