InfoSonics unveiled verykool s470 aka “Black Pearl,” touting it as its “most powerful smartphone to date.” Specs wise, we’re talking about a device that is kind of, sort of comparable to Moto X, except that it uses a different chip and has a worse camera.

The s470 comes with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor (most likely made by MediaTek), 4.7-inch 720p HD screen, 8-megapixel camera on the back, 2-megapixel front facing one, and HSPA+ and Wi-Fi connectivity. There’s also a 2,000mAh battery, FM radio, 3.5mm headset jack and an array of sensors. Perhaps most interesting is the price – the Black Pearl has a suggested retail price of just $229 and that figure doesn’t include any contracts whatsoever. Plus, a dual SIM version will also be available…
