The iPhone 5s and 5c are slated to make their big retail debut on Friday, September 18th, so it’s not surprising that T-Mobile is cutting the price on its older iPhone models. This fire sale is meant to clear out the old inventory and make room for the incoming phones.

As noted by TmoNews, T-Mobile has slashed the price of the iPhone 5 by $100. The price cut applies to all models. It’s a decent drop that takes some cash off  down payment and lowers the monthly fees. For example, the 16GB model now costs $99 down in addition to 24 monthly payments of $18.75 per month. This is down from the original price of $149.99, with 24 monthly payments of $21 each.

To replace the outgoing iPhone 5, T-Mobile will be carrying both the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 5c. The base iPhone 5c will cost $0 down with 24 monthly payments of $22 per month for two years. The 16GB iPhone 5s will you set you back $99 with 24 monthly payments of $22.91.
