Google pushed an update of its iOS app today with a bevy of improvements. The interface was tweaked a bit, allowing easier navigation, and new languages were added. Also, the iOS version of Google Maps has a new “Tips and Tricks” help section.
Aside from several minor bug fixes, the update adds some notable features. Arabic and Hebrew language support has been added to the apps growing list of languages.
The update adds a mini map that makes route selection simpler. It shows a simple overview of the route and the traffic conditions to expect. Users can quickly see their options before beginning turn by turn navigation.
Google also integrated a “Tips and Tricks” help section into its iOS Google Maps update. Not only can you get turn by turn directions, you can get step by step directions looking up routes and other functions of the apps. So, it’s making a bid for the seniors too!
