Fake Nokia N97i found in China, doesn’t look that bad at all

Fake Nokia N97i

“Good ol'” Chinese handset cloners are getting better with the day. Their latest “work” mimics Nokia’s latest flagship device, N97, and honestly doesn’t look that bad. I’m not sure whether I should talk like that about something that’s obviously blatant forgery, but when you look at the image above, and few more images bellow, you’ll have to agree with me.

Anyway, the so called Nokia N97i is almost identical to the real thing, except that I doubt the Finnish quality is built inside. And while I’m not sure what the “i” part means, I can only figure it stands for “it doesn’t have keyboard.” We’re talking about the all-touchscreen device here, which also packs 3.2 megapixel camera, and a user interface that tries really hard to act like the original Symbian S60 5th Edition.

The price, you ask? It’s about 750 yuan which is roughly $110. Again, the quality is spotty and the warranty, if it’s provided at all, and is as useful as Bear Stearns’ stock options…
