Google just announced that HBO Go has received Chromecast support for both iOS and Android apps. Customers who are subscribers to the popular cable channel can now stream all content to their TV’s by way of Google’s dongle — similar to that of the web app.
This is an incredible feature to bring to the Chromecast, as it continues to make its case against competitors such as the Apple TV, Roku, etc. The special USB dongle does something like that of the Apple TV when it comes to its AirPlay feature, allowing users to mirror what they’re watching from any device. For just $35, it’s a must have a device for those of us who love digesting our content via streaming.
