Android 4.3 updates for the Sony Xperia Z (C6603) and Xperia ZL (C6503) are now ready for download, courtesy of XDA’s member Androxyde. The firmware build 10.4.B.0.569 is now available to anyone who want to cram it to his/her Sony smartphone before the Japanese company officially starts rolling it.
Most users should wait for the OTA update, but if you like to experiment, feel free to download new software from these two links: Xperia Z & Xperia ZL.
Again, this isn’t something everyone should be doing — in fact, I would wait for the over-the-air update — but if you do decide to take this route, you should know that IntoMobile can’t be held accountable if something goes wrong and you end-up with a bricked device. Just had to add that there. 😉
Anyway, as far as I’ve understood, the official rollout should begin any day now, and the chances are it will initially target unlocked Xperia smartphones with carrier-specific version likely to follow in early 2014.
