Apple is offering some deals on its products in honor of Lunar New Year. The sales are a one time affair, occurring on January 10th in a host of Asian countries. ‘Red Friday’ is being compared to Black Friday in the United States, the Asia’s equivalent of the day where retailers offer deals and heavy discounts for consumers.
Apple will be offering Red Friday deals online and in brick-and-mortar stores in China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand.
Apple is offering discounts on all current models of the iPhone, the 5C and 5S as well as the iPhone 4S. In addition, the iPad Air and iPad mini with Retina display is receiving a discount.
