Sony will introduce a number of UI changes with a KitKat software update. New graphic elements, tweaks and more are coming to the next Sony UI, which will likely debut with the Xperia Z2 aka Sirius.

Included in the package are new themes and settings, as well as new colors and even fancier wallpapers. Transparent status bar is there as well, showing everyone the phone is running KitKat rather than some older version of Android.

In addition, let’s not forget customizable quick settings at the top, custom white balance settings for the screen, Smart Backlight Control, Smart Call handling, and updated camera software with few new features like TimeShift that enables high-speed recording for slow-motion effects.

Yeah, the Xperia Z2 will be one of the best phones announced this year. Again, its rumored specs include the latest version of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 chip, 3GB of RAM, 2K screen, LTE, powerful camera on the back, and a ton of internal storage.

While we wait for the official announcement, feel free to check out all the details and even more screenshots at XperiaBlog.net.
