The upcoming Pantech Vega Iron 2 may be the first smartphone to rock Qualcomm’s powerful Snapdragon 805 chip. Announced earlier this year, this SoC packs four Krait 450 cores running at 2.5GHz and Adreno 420 GPU that make it Qualcomm’s best chip yet.
Aside from such powerful core, the Iron 2 will also rock a 5.5-inch full HD screen, 2GB of RAM, 13-megapixel rear and 3-megapixel front cameras, LTE-Advanced connectivity support, 2,800 mAh battery, and 32 or 64 GB of internal storage. It will be available in few different variants, three of which (M-A910S, M-A910K and M-A910L) will be offered by major Korean operators and another one (M-A910D) that will offered unlocked. As far as we (don’t) know, this unit could hit certain markets in the West… We’re hoping something like that is part of Pantech’s plans though we have no any inside information suggesting the Iron 2 will ever leave the Korean peninsula.
