Google has dropped the price of the Sony Xperia Z Ultra GPE phablet from $649.99 to a more affordable $449.00. The Sony Xperia Z Ultra Google Play Edition shares the same hardware you’d find on the original, but you’ll be treated to the latest and greatest version of Android, 4.4 KitKat. The stock Android handset will also receive updates in a more timely fashion compared to other Android devices that ship with custom user interfaces.
The Sony Xperia Z Ultra offers up a 6.4 inch 1080p HD display (342 ppi), 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, 16GB storage, 2GB RAM, 8 megapixel camera, 2 megapixel front-facing camera, microSD card slot, and 3,000 mAh battery. Not too shabby for $450.
