The tried and true Android logo could be receiving quite a facelift soon. The LG G Watch’s boot animation has leaked, giving us a glimpse at a new take on the Android logo. Being that this animation is from a device running Android’s Android Wear OS, my guess is that the logo seen in the video is destined for Android Wear devices, not necessarily tablets and smartphones running Android. Google could change all that though; changing the Android logo across the board would ensure continuity, and would bring a new look to an aging logo.
The boot sequence is all Google. Blue, red, yellow and green wisps of color swirl around, morphing into a circular watch design complete with moving hands. The Android logo appears, sporting a new typeface. It seems as if this is the standard boot animation for Android Wear devices, although we could see some changes come release time.
Check out the YouTube video below, or you could install the boot animation on your own Android device. Head over to XDA Developers to download and install the boot animation.
