Roughly a month ago we’ve seen Sprint and Virgin Mobile adding the Kyocera Hydro Vibe to their respective portfolios; now it’s Boost Mobile’s time. They got the Hydro Icon, which too is rugged and can be completely submerged in up to one meter (3.28 feet) of water for up to 30 minutes.

Kyocera’s IP57-rated, Military Standard 810G-certified smartphone also comes with a 4.5-inch qHD screen, 8-megapixel main camera with LED flash, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 1.2Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor (Snapdragon 400?), LTE connectivity support, NFC, and 8GB of expandable storage, while Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is running the show. Furthermore, users will get to benefit from Smart Sonic Receiver audio technology that will allow them to hear conversations more clearly in noisy outdoor environments.

Boost mobile is selling the Hydro Vibe for $149.99 requiring no contract signing whatsoever. You will need some minutes, texts and data; and to that end the carrier suggests its Monthly Unlimited Select plans which start at $40 per month…
