LG announced two new members of its L series smartphone, L Fino and L Bello. That’s right, numbers are out and the Korean company is going with an easier to remember names. As part of the “L” line-up, these two are obviously affordable devices which look kinda cool, resembling the look of LG’s flagship device, G3.
The LG L Fino rocks a 4.5-inch WVGA screen, 1.2GHz quad-core chip, 1GB of RAM, 8-megapixel camera, HSPA+ connectivity, 1,900 mAh battery and 4GB of expandable storage. On the other hand, the Bello has a bigger 5-inch screen with FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) resolution, slightly faster quad-core CPU clocked at 1.3GHz, and double the amount of built-in storage. Both devices run Android 4.4.2 KitKat with LG’s software tweaks running on top. And, as we’ve said earlier, these are the same tweaks users of the LG G3 learned to love.
The LG L Lino will be available in white, black, gold, red and green; while the Bello will sell in white, black and gold, depending on the market. The duo will first hit Latin American countries, with Europe, Asia and CIS to follow soon afterwards. Pricing will be announced locally at launch.
While we don’t get too excited about this sort of devices, we do realize that phones like these are crucial for LG’s success in developing economies. That being said, we expect to see Fino and Bello selling like hot cupcakes, helping the Korean company grow its global market share.
