Apple Pay will hit the U.S. on October 20th, Tim Cook revealed at Apple’s iPad event today. Apple’s venture into the mobile payment arena will be ready to use in conjunction with the NFC enabled iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus.
Retailers that will initially accept Apple Pay are Walgreens, Macy’s, McDonald’s, Bloomingdale’s, Sephora, Staples Subway and Whole Foods Market. More retailers will jump on board shortly down the line.
Will Apple Pay beat out PayPal and Google? We’ll see about that one.
