OnePlus has launched the Ace 6 Ultra in China today, marking the third device in its gaming-focused smartphone series. The phone joins the Ace 6 and Ace 6T that arrived in December 2025, continuing OnePlus’s push into the competitive gaming phone market.
The Ace 6 Ultra represents OnePlus’s answer to the growing demand for mobile gaming devices with extended battery life. Gaming phones have become a significant market segment, with manufacturers racing to offer the longest battery life and highest refresh rates to attract mobile gamers who demand peak performance.
The new flagship phone features a 6.78-inch flat LTPS BOE AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. OnePlus has optimized the screen with a dedicated touch chip specifically for low-latency gaming, addressing one of the biggest concerns for mobile gamers.
The phone’s standout feature is its massive 8,000mAh dual-cell battery, supported by 120W wired fast charging. This battery capacity puts it among the longest-lasting smartphones available today. The device runs on Android 16 and includes an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
Under the hood, the Ace 6 Ultra runs MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chipset paired with up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage. The phone measures 162.3mm in height, 77.37mm in width, and 8.5mm in thickness, weighing 218 grams. Despite the large battery, OnePlus has maintained a relatively slim profile.
The device features a metal frame and glass rear panel, with multiple IP certifications including IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K for dust and water resistance. The camera setup includes a dual rear camera system with a 50MP primary sensor and 8MP ultra-wide lens, plus a 16MP front camera.
OnePlus has priced the Ace 6 Ultra starting at CNY 4,000 (roughly Rs 55,350). The company has also introduced a dedicated gaming controller for the device, emphasizing its gaming credentials.
Meanwhile, OnePlus is preparing to launch the Nord CE 6 Lite in India on May 7th, targeting the mid-range market. This device features:
- 6.72-inch Full HD display with 1Hz to 120Hz refresh rate (scaling to 144Hz)
- MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Apex chipset on 4nm process
- 7,000mAh battery with claimed two-day usage
- 45W SUPERVOOC wired charging
- 50MP primary camera with 4K video recording
The Nord CE 6 Lite will include multiple AI-powered camera features such as AI Perfect Shot, AI Reflection Eraser, AI Detail Boost, and AI Portrait Glow. It will also integrate Google’s Gemini AI features including Gemini Live with camera and screen sharing support.
These launches show OnePlus diversifying its strategy, targeting both premium gaming enthusiasts with the Ace series and mainstream users seeking long battery life with the Nord series. The focus on extended battery life across both devices reflects consumer priorities in 2026, where all-day usage has become a key selling point for smartphones.
