iQOO is bringing the Z11 to India, but buyers expecting the same phone that launched in Malaysia may be in for a surprise. The company’s India CEO Nipun Marya has teased the device’s arrival, yet a Geekbench listing suggests the Indian version could ship with a completely different processor than the one used in the global model.
As reported by 91Mobiles, tipster Paras Guglani flagged the model number I2514 as the Indian iQOO Z11. A prototype with that number showed up on Geekbench with a MediaTek Dimensity 7500 chip, 12GB of RAM, and Android 16. That’s a notable departure from the global Z11, which uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4.
Regional hardware swaps are common in the smartphone industry. Brands often adjust specs based on local pricing targets and the competition they’re up against. India’s mid-range segment is especially price-sensitive, and a switch to the Dimensity 7500 could allow iQOO to bring the Z11 in at a more competitive price point.
Another tipster, Anvin, has speculated that the Indian Z11 might actually be a rebranded Vivo S60e Vitality Edition, which also uses the Dimensity 7500. That’s unconfirmed, but if accurate, the Indian model’s specs could look something like this:
- 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate
- MediaTek Dimensity 7500 chipset
- Up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB storage
- 50MP main camera, 8MP ultrawide, and a 50MP front camera with autofocus
- 7,200mAh silicon-carbon battery with 90W fast charging
- Android 16-based OriginOS 6
- IP68/IP69 rating, in-display fingerprint scanner, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, and an infrared blaster
All of that is speculation for now. Nothing is confirmed until iQOO officially reveals the hardware. Still, the combination of a large battery and a mid-range chip fits a pattern iQOO has used before to appeal to Indian buyers who prioritize endurance and value.
To compare, the global iQOO Z11 that launched in Malaysia is a different beast. It has a 6.83-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, a 50MP main camera, a 32MP selfie camera, and a massive 9,020mAh battery with 90W charging. The Chinese model goes further with a 1.5K AMOLED panel at 165Hz and the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 chip. India, it seems, could land somewhere between the two in terms of hardware.
Pricing will be the key factor here. The iQOO Z11x, which launched in India in March, started at Rs 18,999 but now sits at Rs 22,999 after price hikes. The Z11 will likely be priced above that. At the right price, it could go up against phones like the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion in a segment where buyers have plenty of strong options to choose from.
iQOO has started teasing the launch, which means an official announcement is probably not far off. Given that speculation about the specs is already circulating, waiting a short while before buying should give prospective buyers a much clearer picture of what they’re actually getting.
