If you own a Galaxy A57 and you’ve been refreshing your settings menu hoping to see One UI 9.0 drop, stop. That’s not what this update is. But it’s still worth installing.
Samsung has started pushing a new software update to the Galaxy A57, and according to SamMobile, it’s currently rolling out in India and nearby markets including Bangladesh and Nepal. The firmware version is A576BXXS6AZI3, and it carries the September 2026 security patch. Nothing flashy, just a focused update that patches known security vulnerabilities on the device.
The update weighs in at nearly 500MB, so make sure you’re on Wi-Fi before you kick it off. Installing it is straightforward:
- Open the Settings app on your Galaxy A57
- Go to Software update
- Tap Check for updates
- Download the update, then tap Restart to finish
The whole process takes just a few minutes, and honestly, there’s no good reason to skip it. Security patches exist because real vulnerabilities get discovered and exploited. A mid-range phone like the A57 is exactly the kind of device that needs to stay updated, especially since it’s widely used across South and Southeast Asia.
So why isn’t One UI 9.0 here yet? Samsung hasn’t even pushed the stable One UI 9.0 release to the Galaxy S26 series at this point. The Galaxy A57 is currently sitting on the second beta of One UI 9.0, which means a stable rollout for this phone is still weeks away at minimum. Mid-range devices in Samsung’s lineup almost always follow the flagships in the update queue, and that pattern is holding true here.
That’s actually worth paying attention to as a broader trend. Samsung has made a big deal about extending software support across its device range, including mid-range models like the A57. But longer support windows only mean something if the updates actually show up in a timely way. Right now, A57 owners are getting the security updates they need, but the bigger One UI upgrade is still a waiting game. Keep an eye on that Settings menu.
