Vivo is less than two weeks away from launching the X500 series in China, and the phones are already making the rounds in certification databases well beyond Chinese borders. According to Gizmochina, all three models, the base X500, the X500 Pro, and the X500 Pro Max, have now cleared SIRIM, Malaysia’s regulatory body for electronics. That’s a pretty clear signal that Vivo has global ambitions for this lineup right out of the gate.
The base X500 carries model number V2619 and had already been spotted on SIRIM, IMDA, and TUV. Now the X500 Pro (V2621) and X500 Pro Max (V2610) have joined it on the SIRIM database. To be clear, SIRIM listings don’t spill specs or pricing. They’re a legal requirement for selling electronics in Malaysia, so what we’re really getting here is confirmation that Vivo is actively preparing all three phones for the Malaysian market. Still, it’s the kind of paper trail that usually shows up weeks before an official global announcement, and with the China launch on September 21st, timing fits perfectly.
What makes this series genuinely interesting is the camera setup. Vivo confirmed at its Creator Festival event in Yantai that the X500 Pro models will be the first phones to use its new BluePrint LightGuard 900 sensor, which is reportedly built on the Sony LYT-910. Vivo claims it can hit up to 17EV of dynamic range, which is a serious number if it holds up in real-world shooting conditions. The Pro models also support 4K video at 240fps for slow motion, 4K 120fps HDR video, and 10-bit 4:2:2 encoding. That last one matters if you’re serious about color grading footage on a phone.
For the telephoto, the lineup is expected to use a 64MP Sony LYT-610 sensor paired with CIPA 5.5-rated stabilization. There’s also reportedly support for a 200mm teleconverter accessory, which would push optical reach into territory most phones can’t touch. Vivo has been chasing Zeiss-tier camera credibility for a few years now, and the X500 series looks like its most confident swing yet.
Design-wise, Vivo has already shown off official images. The X500 Pro Max has a large circular camera module on the back with the rear panel sloping gently around it. It comes in black and orange, and the full lineup has additional color options across all three models.

Malaysia looks like one of the first markets in line, and where Malaysia goes, the rest of Southeast Asia and likely Europe usually follow. Worth keeping an eye on.
