TCM Mobile has announced it has signed an MOU with Ganton Limited to deploy a commercial cellular VoIP operating network in India. This will be the world’s first commercial network to utilize TCM’s patented telecommunication technology (based on VoIP), and will be rolled out to an initial 500,000 subscribers with a project capex of US $300 million dollars. The specific operating territory is currently being designed and will be announced in the coming weeks.
“The Indian Market offers an immense opportunity not only for generating  revenue for our organization, but also offers significant value additions in terms of image enhancement of the existing service providers”, said Sanjiv Kapoor, Ganton Chief Executive Officer. “The launch of this revolutionary network will contribute greatly towards the GDP growth of India, in line with our National Telecom Policy’s key objectives. This forward looking, technically advanced network will help create an international image in the eyes of various investors worldwide for the Indian market,” continued Mr. Kapoor.
Ganton Limited is a multinational technology company with offices in India, the United States, UK, Sweden, Switzerland, Romania and Hong Kong.
TCM Mobile has developed a revolutionary, patented “cellular” technology which delivers all forms of mobile telecommunication services such as Voice, Data and Location-based Advertising (“Pop Up” format) and Pinpoint Location functionality via one mobile device.
As part of the venture, Ganton Limited has introduced Chinese telecom giant ZTE Corporation to expand upon its existing supplier relationship, and negotiate to provide all related telecom equipment for the build-out and deployment of the operating network.
