Adobe’s Open Screen Project, also known operation “we need to put flash on mobile phones before people start preferring to make mobile optimized websites”, just got two new members today: Symbian and LiMo. Consumers can look forward to “enjoying” the Flash enabled web on their mobile phone, namely videos and advertisements. Developers can look forward to … that’s a hard one, what are you developers looking forward to? At some point Flash 10.1 will be on all the mobile devices being sold on the market, but as of now it isn’t on any. Assuming the Nexus One and Palm Pre get a software update, that’s barely a drop in the bucket in terms of total smartphone numbers.
