Bell customers packing an iPhone, looks like you’ve got some new TV service you may want to use to suck-up your monthly data. New from Bell comes ‘Bell Mobile TV’. The app connects you to live TV, including NHL hockey games (of course), 2010 Olympic coverage, CTV, TSN, Sportsnet, The Weather Network and all sorts of other Canadian productions.
The crummy thing about the app so far? Looks like you’ve got to be on Bell 3G with WiFi turned OFF. Guess that’s Bell’s way of ensuring only Bell customers get the goods. Oh, and because the app works over 3G, you’ll need to subscribe for somewhere around $8 for the service… plus an extra $10 one-time fee if you want to catch any of the remaining Olympic coverage. Boo-urns.
With that said, if you crave mobile TV and want to give it a shot… A one-month test of the service is not out of the question. If you give it a try, be sure to let us know what you think!
